About fifteen years ago we began to send catalogs to music stores all over
the world --- five times a year. We wanted to make it clear in that catalog
that our business was quite different from other distribution companies who
seemed to be barely distinguishable, one from another. In the meantime a few
companies have sprung up who try to emulate us. But here at Saga, we do
things our own way, and copy no one. The quest for excellence has taken us down some strange paths and so I
decided to write about those experiences in our catalog. The column was
called "On the Pacific Road..." Here are a few of those reports from out
in the bush, which I hope you will enjoy.
