Golden Gate P-79 1940s Tone Ring – Unplated Brass
$62.95
Saga Musical Instruments is proud to announce a new, economical and very traditionally inspired tone ring for all banjos. The P-79 is a round rod of highest quality unplated brass. It measures 7mm (1/4″) in thickness and 280mm (11″) in diameter. It fits right on the flat top surface of a standard wood banjo rim, and gives a full, rich tone that is equally suitable for old-time frailing or bluegrass banjo styles. This new tone ring re-creates the type of ring that was used by Gibson and other manufacturers from the turn of the century through the 1940’s and even later on their banjos. This ring weighs slightly over a pound and contributes to the light overall weight of any banjo as well as greater comfort for the player.
