2026 marks Saga’s 50th year designing and manufacturing the finest musical instruments that money can buy. To mark this achievement, Kentucky – “America’s Favorite Mandolin” introduces a new Limited-Edition F-style mandolin to its Master Model line. Each instrument represents a crowning achievement of many years of dedication, showcasing the skill and expertise that our luthiers employ meticulously hand-crafting every instrument we make.
Introducing, the new KM-1050 LTD… a true masterpiece in design, playability and sound that incorporates professional-level player features designed to enhance playability for the modern musician.
As with other Limited Edition Mandolins in the collection, the KM-1050 LTD incorporates tonewoods of limited availably including, solid AAA-grade flamed Northern maple for the back, sides, and neck, and close-grained hand-carved and graduated solid Adirondack for the spruce top. Each instrument is constructed with meticulously shaped and positioned tone bars and results in a professional-quality mandolin with a rich, clear tone that has plenty of power and volume. When it comes to playability, this is where the new KM-1050 LTD shines. That because each mandolin comes with a choice radiused ebony fingerboard and is fitted with slightly larger modern-style nickel-silver frets. An adjustable truss provides a lifetime of control and stability, while the adjustable, and moveable ebony bridge assures perfect intonation and limitless adjustments for playability. As with all master models, reverse gear tuners with high-ratio provides tuning stability, while the nickel-plated brass tailpiece with logo’ed removable cover makes for easy strings changes and completes the traditional appearance of the hardware. Top it off with a translucent vintage sunburst in a luxurious, high-gloss nitrocellulose finish and you truly have an instrument with a look as stunning and impressive as its sound.
